Google Pixel 10 Series Reveals Bigger Batteries and Slightly Improved Repairability

Regulatory leaks have confirmed that the upcoming Google Pixel 10 series will feature larger batteries, with significant upgrades in the core models. The most substantial increase is seen in the Pixel 10 Pro XL, which boasts a massive 5,200 mAh battery compared to last year’s 4,942 mAh.

In contrast, the standard Pixel 10 has a slightly smaller but still notable upgrade from 4,700 mAh to 4,970 mAh. The Pixel 10 Pro falls somewhere in between, with a battery capacity of 4,870 mAh, up from 4,700 mAh.

While battery size is a significant improvement, regulatory labels also indicate minor repairability enhancements across the series. However, the actual changes have not been disclosed yet, and further explanation will be necessary from Google or through a teardown.

It’s worth noting that all three devices in the Pixel 10 series have demonstrated impressive durability, withstanding over 270 free-fall drop tests without any battery problems. Additionally, they are expected to last for around 1,000 cycles on default settings.

The Pixel 10 series is set to launch on August 20, offering users a new range of Android-based smartphones with improved battery life and possibly enhanced repairability.
