Google has showcased its “AI Mode” product on its home page, promoting its latest search feature aimed at answering complex user questions. The promotion comes as the company aims to expose more users to its AI features amid pressure from rival artificial intelligence startups.
AI Mode is a chatbot-like experience designed for complex queries, which was first displayed alongside search results in March. The new promotion uses an animated image on Google’s homepage and Chrome browser landing pages that leads to AI Mode. Users can ask questions using text, voice, or images and receive AI-powered responses.
The tool leverages Google’s flagship AI model Gemini, allowing users to find answers to complex queries with a single search. Since its launch, the feature has expanded to more US users.
