Google has announced that it will increase the price of its Nest Aware subscription in the US starting next month. The new prices are as follows: $10/month or $100 annually for basic features, and $20/month or $200 annually for enhanced features.
The changes come after a review of market shifts, including inflation and local tax updates. Existing subscribers will see the new price on their first bill that occurs on or after August 15, 2025.
However, if you purchase the Nest Aware subscription before then, the current prices remain locked in until the change takes effect.
Nest Aware Plus, which offers additional features such as 24/7 video history and event-based video history, will see a similar price increase. The main difference is that it now costs $20/month or $200 annually, down from $15/month or $150/year.
The updated pricing includes intelligent alerts for security threats like smoke alarms, carbon monoxide warnings, and glass breaking notifications, as well as e911 calling capabilities. Existing subscribers will still have access to the Gemini-powered Google Assistant on their Nest Audio and Mini devices.
