Google is introducing an AI-powered search mode in its Search app, with early access available to Google One AI Premium subscribers. The new feature, called AI Mode, uses artificial intelligence to provide more relevant results and a unique user experience.
To access AI Mode, users can click on the “AI Mode” button at the top of their search results or visit google.com/aimode directly. On mobile devices, the button is located underneath the Search bar in the Home tab.
In AI Mode, users can input text or voice commands to receive answers and suggestions. The feature also includes animations and visual effects, such as colorful cursor movement and a “Ask AI Mode” text field.
While AI Mode has received positive feedback from users, it’s still in its early stages of development. Google is actively seeking user feedback to improve the experience and plans to introduce new features, including more visual responses with images and video.
For now, AI Mode only accepts text and voice input but not camera input. Users can view their search history and return to previous searches using a button on the top-left or right corner of the page.
