Google Rolls Out Gemini Live to All Android Users for Free

Google has announced that its Gemini Live feature, which allows users to share their screen and have a conversation about it, is now available to all Android users for free. This feature was initially exclusive to the Pixel 9 series and Galaxy S24 and S25, but it expanded to more phones with the March Pixel Drop.

To use Gemini Live, users can tap on the “Share screen with Live” button and show what’s on their screen to Gemini, which will analyze the content and provide information. Users can ask questions about files, images, or YouTube videos, and Gemini will respond accordingly.

The feature works in several ways:

– To ask questions using camera, users can tap on the viewfinder button and point at an object.
– To take a photo or add a file, users can use the “+” button to upload files from Drive, Gallery, or Files, and then tap “Talk Live About This” to start asking questions.
– Users can also chat about YouTube videos by opening the Gemini overlay while the video is active or pasting the link into the app.

Gemini Live offers an advantage over previous text-only conversations with Gemini, as it allows users to speak without typing. The feature will provide a new level of interaction and assistance for users, making it easier to access information and get answers about files, images, and videos.
