Google has introduced significant upgrades across its Google Vids, Slides, and Gemini app as part of the June Workspace update. The goal is to enhance user experience by leveraging AI for faster creation of presentations, videos, and research-driven insights.
Key updates include:
* Google Vids: Powered by Veo 3, this feature now offers AI-driven video creation with realistic visuals and natural audio. Users can generate high-quality clips with sound by typing a prompt, such as requesting a scene of a worker in specific gear or a presenter in a custom setting.
* Google Slides: The presentation tool has been enhanced with professional templates covering project proposals, team updates, and creative portfolios to facilitate faster creation of standout presentations.
* Gemini App: This AI-powered assistant now offers more context-aware replies through links to Gmail, Drive, and other Workspace apps. Users can find files in Drive, summarize unread emails, and pull notes for upcoming meetings.
Additionally, Gemini has two new capabilities:
* Live: Enables real-time, natural conversations with the AI assistant.
* Deep Research: Uploads a Drive file and combines it with public data to deliver smart summaries, insights, and industry trends from documents.
These updates are currently rolling out to all Google Workspace customers.
