Google has improved its MLKit document scanner on Android phones, making it easier for users to scan and enhance documents without manual adjustments. The auto-enhancement feature is now seamless, allowing users to skip the need for manual enhancements after scanning.
The enhancement is available in various apps that use the MLKit document scanner, including Google Drive and Files by Google. While there are multiple ways to scan documents on Android phones, using what’s already installed can be the simplest option.
The auto-enhancement feature works automatically right after capturing a document, with minimal delay. Users can tap on an enhancement button in the top right corner to remove or apply the filter. The feature is part of MLKit document scanner and is not tied to any specific app.
To take advantage of this feature, users need the Google Play Services app version 25.17.30 installed. With auto-enhancement, users can skip the hassle of manual enhancements, similar to how they would improve their smartphone photography skills with practice.
