Google is introducing Gemini AI apps on monitored Android devices for children under 13. The company claims kids can use Gemini for educational purposes, such as homework help and reading stories. However, parents are warned that the AI may make mistakes or reveal inappropriate content.
To address concerns, Google has introduced restrictions and parental controls. Under Google Family Link, kids will be able to enable and access Gemini on their own. Parents can turn off access via Family Link, receiving an additional notification when a child accesses the app for the first time.
