Google has introduced two artificial intelligence (AI) models designed to improve robotics. The new Gemini Robotics model will enable robots to adapt to unfamiliar situations, a significant challenge in the field of robotics. Developed by Alphabet Inc.’s research unit Google DeepMind, this model is a branch of its popular AI system aimed at creating more dexterous and interactive robots.
Additionally, Google DeepMind has released Gemini Robotics-ER, another specialized model that focuses on spatial understanding. This new tool will assist robot makers in developing new programs using Gemini’s reasoning capabilities. The release of these two models marks a significant development in the field of robotics, challenging existing leaders such as Meta and OpenAI.
