According to Soniya Jobanputra, director of product management at Google, the Pixel 10 series aims to “take the mundane and boring out of your life.” The new AI features include:
– Camera Coach: a camera app that provides step-by-step instructions for taking better photos
– Magic Cue: a feature that uses machine learning to find answers in personal information stored in Google apps
– Pro Res Zoom: an improved zoom feature that allows users to capture high-quality images up to 100x
– Text-Based Photo Editing: a new editing tool that uses natural language to edit photos
– Revamped Voicemails: a feature that transcribes voicemail messages and suggests actions
– AI-Generated Voice for Translations: a real-time translation feature that generates an approximation of the user’s voice
– New Journal App: a digital journaling app with AI-powered reflections and personalized insights
– Daily Hub: a feature that shows upcoming calendar events, reminders, and suggested activities based on search history
– Raise to Talk to Gemini: a new way to activate Google Assistant using a raised wrist gesture
– A New Gemini Live Voice Model: an upcoming voice model that will allow users to steer the assistant’s tone
