Google is set to debut its highly-anticipated AI-powered feature, Pixel Sense, in the upcoming Pixel 10 series. According to reports from Android Authority, Pixel Sense is an AI named Pixie that was initially supposed to integrate with Google Assistant but has been rebranded and rescheduled for release.
Pixel Sense will collect data from a wide range of Google apps, including Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Maps, and more, in order to provide users with personalized suggestions and predictions. This includes completing tasks faster by suggesting content, products, and names based on the context of how you use your phone.
The feature seems to be an expansion of Samsung’s Now Brief AI-powered feature, which collects data from a few select apps to provide users with “Now Bar” updates. However, Pixel Sense boasts a much larger list of supported apps and appears to offer more substantial benefits.
While its effectiveness is yet to be proven, Pixel Sense has the potential to revolutionize the way Google provides personalized experiences to its users. If successful, it could bring closure to the decade-old promise of Google Now’s AI-powered feature.
