Google Unveils Deep Think Feature for Gemini 2.5 Pro

Google is introducing the Deep Think feature for its Gemini 2.5 Pro AI assistant, aiming to tackle complex tasks with increased compute power. The new mode is designed for users dealing with advanced math, coding, and multimodal workflows. Official benchmark results show a notable 15% performance boost in math-related tasks.

The UI is also being updated, moving the prompt bar to the center of the screen, similar to ChatGPT’s design. A personalization feature now sits alongside Deep Think, allowing users to search their past chat data. Selecting Deep Think may take several minutes due to its more intensive processing approach.

While a release date has not been confirmed, signs suggest an imminent launch. The feature is expected to initially be limited to Ultra-tier users. For Google, Deep Think represents another step in positioning Gemini as a technical tool for professionals requiring robust AI-powered problem-solving.
