Google has officially released its Gemini 2.5 chatbot, marking a significant improvement over the previous version. The new model is now competitive with ChatGPT and will be integrated into Chrome. A fancy subscription plan is also available to get the most out of Google’s AI.
The release version of Gemini 2.5 Flash has built-in simulated reasoning, making its outputs more reliable than the old model. This edition uses 20-30% fewer tokens and is now live in Vertex AI, AI Studio, and the Gemini app. It will become the default model on June 1st.
The Pro model has also received new updates, solidifying its lead on the LM Arena leaderboard. A new feature called Deep Think allows the model to consider multiple hypotheses for every query, making it excellent at math and coding. However, Google plans to test this feature further before releasing it widely.
