Google has announced new features for its Workspace apps, centered around its Gemini AI technology. The company will integrate Gemini-style AI podcasts into Google Docs, allowing users to turn their documents into audio recordings and have them read aloud. Additionally, a “Help me refine” feature will be available, providing suggestions for improving existing drafts.
Gemini’s capabilities will also be applied to Google Sheets, where users can ask for help with specific questions and tasks, such as generating visuals. A new feature called “Help me analyze” aims to identify trends in spreadsheets and offer guidance to get started.
The updates are expected to roll out in the coming weeks for Workspace accounts, with more features, including an AI writing coach, being introduced later this quarter or year.
