Google Unveils Real-Time Live Video for Gemini Live Chatbot

Google is introducing new features to its AI chatbot Gemini Live, allowing users to engage in real-time conversations with live video and screen sharing capabilities. The update, announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, enables users to share their surroundings or the website they’re on while chatting with the AI.

The feature will initially be available to Gemini Advanced subscribers on Android devices starting March. A demonstration video shows a user asking Gemini Live for recommendations on glazes for vases and receiving a response as the camera moves around. The update follows recent releases, including Gemini 2.0 Pro and “enhanced reasoning model” Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental.

Google’s introduction of this feature highlights its efforts to improve the AI chatbot’s capabilities, following updates from other tech giants at MWC.
