Google’s Discover feed is undergoing significant changes, starting with a new design that replaces traditional curved-edge card-based layout with a full-width one. This change has already rolled out for users with the Google app beta version 16.15.38.
The tech giant is also shortening links to articles shared in the Discover and Google app feeds, making it more convenient for users. Additionally, Google is expanding its reach by integrating social media accounts and posts into the feed, allowing users to browse YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and X (Twitter) content directly within their feeds.
These new features aim to provide personalized content based on user preferences and search history. The integration will highlight relevant posts and accounts, such as favorite NBA teams or artists, and will allow users to tap through to the respective app or mobile website.
However, it’s unclear when these changes will be available for all users, as Google is currently A/B testing the feature with a small subset of users.
