Google has introduced a new feature in its calendar service, allowing users to access the AI assistant Gemini as a dedicated sidebar. The Gemini feature is currently being tested in Workspace Labs and hasn’t been made available to all standard users yet.
To access Gemini, users can click on the new button that appears in the horizontal menu above the calendar. Once opened, users can give instructions using natural language prompts, such as asking for schedule information or creating a new event.
The feature is still in development, and it’s unclear when Gemini will be available to all Google Calendar users. However, users who want to try it out before the general release can sign up for Google Workspace Labs. This new integration aims to provide users with a more conversational experience when managing their calendar events.
