Google’s Call Message: The Smart Voicemail System You Need to Know

Google is taking its call assist features to the next level by introducing “Call Message,” a smart voicemail system that simplifies the way you handle missed calls. This innovative feature uses artificial intelligence to take over calls when you’re not available, transcribing messages in real-time and displaying them on your screen.

Similar to Apple’s Live Voicemail, Call Message acts as your personal secretary, picking up calls and asking callers to leave a message. The message is then transcribed in real-time, allowing you to see the script as it unfolds. If you interrupt the message to pick up the phone, the feature will continue without you.

Call Message is an improvement over traditional voicemail systems, offering on-device processing and all-AICore technology that doesn’t require internet connectivity. This means you can access your Call Message transcripts even when your phone is off or outside of network coverage.

While it’s not a complete replacement for dedicated voicemail services, Call Message is a valuable addition to Google’s Pixel phones. With its codename “Beesly,” reportedly inspired by The Office character Pam Beesly, this feature is sure to make a buzz in the tech world.
