Google is enhancing its productivity-focused Chromebook Plus line with various AI-driven features. The new screen-selection tool allows users to instantly search for text or images on their screens by long-pressing the launcher button or using the screenshot tool. This feature also enables users to select text and quickly add events to their calendars.
In addition, Google has introduced a “Simplify” feature that uses AI to explain, simplify, or summarize any selected text. The company is also providing one-year subscriptions to its AI Pro plan, which includes access to exclusive tools like the Gemini app, video editing tool Flow, image-to-video creation tool Whisk, and more.
Two new AI-driven features for Lenovo’s Chromebook Plus 14 include tab and document organization recommendations and an image-editing tool that allows users to remove backgrounds or create stickers. The device boasts a high-resolution OLED touch screen, ARM-based MediaTek Kompanio Ultra chip, 12GB and 16GB RAM variants, and prices starting at $649 for the base model.
