In contrast to previous models, where only internal components were updated, Google’s latest smartwatch design aims to make repairs more accessible. The current Pixel Watch, Watch 2, and Watch 3 have followed a consistent design, with a sleek curved glass cover and aluminum housing. However, replacing parts has been challenging due to the lack of easily available replacement components.
Google is said to be making changes to the construction that will facilitate repairs.
