Graceland Scam Mastermind Pleads Guilty to Mail Fraud

A Memphis woman, Lisa Findley, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to mail fraud over a scheme to scam Elvis Presley’s family out of Graceland. The 53-year-old faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Findley will be sentenced on June 18, with the government recommending a sentence of 57 months. As part of her plea, she will not face additional charges if she fulfills the agreement, but her charge of identity theft was dropped.

According to court documents, Findley pretended to be three people affiliated with Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC and claimed that Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed $3.8 million in 2018. She forged loan documents featuring Lisa Marie’s signature and published a foreclosure notice in The Commercial Appeal.

Findley remains in custody while awaiting sentencing, but the judge will consider the government’s recommendation when determining her final sentence.
