Grammys Shift Focus to Fire Relief Amid LA Wildfires

The Grammy Awards, set to take place in Los Angeles amidst wildfires, won’t be canceled or postponed. Instead, the Recording Academy is refocusing the show on fire relief efforts. CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Board of Trustees Chair Tammy Hurt announced that the Grammys will raise additional funds for wildfire relief and honor first responders.

The music industry has responded to the wildfires, with major labels like Universal Music Group canceling Grammy-related events to redirect funds to relief efforts. Warner Music Group also pledged $1 million to LA area fire relief and rebuilding efforts. MusiCares, an organization supporting music professionals in need, will hold its annual Persons of the Year benefit gala on January 31, honoring the Grateful Dead with a commitment to wildfire relief.

The 2025 Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, will feature a long list of top music stars. The show will air live on CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+, with several performers announced.
