Grand Ole Opry’s 100 Years Celebrated with Star-Studded Telecast

The Grand Ole Opry is marking its 100th anniversary with a star-studded telecast, “Opry 100: A Live Celebration,” set to air live tonight on NBC and Peacock. Silent House Productions, in partnership with the Opry, has brought together over 20 performers for a three-hour extravaganza honoring the iconic music venue’s rich history.

The show will feature country legends like Reba, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and Keith Urban, as well as contemporary artists such as Post Malone, Kelsea Ballerini, and Eric Church. “Opry 100” aims to represent every generation of country music, from bluegrass to gospel, and pay tribute to the legends who have made it so iconic.

Executive producers Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco, Linda Gierahn, R.A. Clark, and Steve Buchanan worked together to curate an unforgettable experience for fans. “We wanted to give people some freedom to pay tribute to what’s special to them,” said Bracco. “That’s what Eric’s doing with his performance.”

The show will feature a mix of live performances from the Opry House and select segments pre-recorded at the Ryman Auditorium, a historic venue that has been an integral part of country music for decades. The combination of both venues aims to tell the story of the Opry in a unique way.

Kacey Musgraves was not mentioned but she would have fit in perfectly
