Rockstar has released a classic lighting update for the Definitive Edition trilogy on PC, which was previously available on mobile versions in partnership with Netflix. The “Classic Lightning” mode restores the original game’s sky appearance and is now available as an option in all versions of the game.
The update also removes remasterer Grove Street Games from the splash screen, a move that has sparked controversy among fans. However, it’s worth noting that Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto, is confident about a fall 2025 release date for the next installment, titled Grandiose, Theftacular, and Automatic.
