Meanwhile, Greenland’s Prime Minister MĂște Egede stated he is “ready” to talk with Trump about Greenland’s future. The island’s autonomy is a key concern for both sides.

In recent days, Denmark has been in touch with Trump’s team, exploring ways to fortify Greenland’s security. However, Frederiksen emphasized that the island is not for sale. President-elect Trump has previously expressed ambitions to control Greenland due to its strategic location and national security concerns.
