GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition Update Brings Fixes, New Patch

Rockstar Games has released its biggest and most important update yet for The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, addressing several long-standing issues. The update, which was three years in the making, aims to rectify problems that plagued the remastered collection upon its initial release.

Several fans had expressed concern about Rockstar’s decision to leave the game as is, but it appears that the developer has not given up on improving the experience. A recent tweet from @videotechuk_ revealed that Rockstar posted an article on their support site discussing a bug related to the safe door in GTA San Andreas’ “Breaking the Bank at Caligula’s” mission.

According to Rockstar, the safe door does not blow up as intended during this mission. The developer is currently investigating a solution and has hinted at the possibility of new patches being tested on Steam.

A workaround for the issue has been provided by Rockstar: players can fail the mission and then recreate the experience to bypass the bug. To do so, they should select “Cancel” when prompted to retry from the last checkpoint, travel to their nearest safe house, create a manual save, restart the game, reload the previously created save, and restart the mission.

Players who encounter other bugs can report them to Rockstar via their support site. The developer is committed to providing updates and news on the GTA series, including upcoming titles like GTA 6 and GTA Online.
