GTA VI Release Window Sparks Debate Over Early 2026 PC Launch

Grand Theft Auto V has been a best-seller for years, with over 210 million units sold worldwide. Its sequel, GTA VI, is expected to release in Fall 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles. However, the game’s PC release date remains uncertain.

Corsair Gaming CEO Andrew Paul recently hinted that GTA VI might arrive on PC earlier than expected, possibly as early as early 2026. This claim was made during an investor call where Paul discussed the gaming industry’s growth and its impact on Corsair’s sales.

Paul stated that while there have been many new games released in recent years, the gaming community hasn’t experienced a “Fortnite moment” or a similar phenomenon to PUBG. As a result, players are increasingly relying on older titles.

Corsair’s component business has seen substantial growth, with peripheral sales increasing by 50-60% compared to pre-COVID levels. The company attributes this growth to the rise in gaming popularity and the subsequent increase in demand for high-performance graphics cards.

While the release of GTA VI is still uncertain, Paul’s comments suggest that a PC launch might be sooner rather than later. However, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that the game’s PC version is crucial to its sales success. As such, fans should not expect an overly long wait for the PC version.
