Arc System Works has announced that it will continue supporting Guilty Gear Strive beyond Season 4, with plans to release a major update in 2026. The update, titled Guilty Gear Strive 2.00, is expected to introduce new characters to the game.
In addition to the upcoming update, players can look forward to playing Lucy, a character from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, on August 21st. Lucy’s gameplay has been praised for its accuracy, with animations inspired by her appearances in Cyberpunk 2077.
The developer has done an impressive job adapting Lucy’s character, including her use of monowires and quickhacks. However, some fans have expressed disappointment that she does not come with a stage.
The news comes as a welcome surprise to fans of the game, who can now look forward to new content and updates in the future. With Guilty Gear Strive 2.00 on the horizon, players are eagerly anticipating what changes will be made to the game.
