WWE star Gunther was in a rage on Monday night’s “Monday Night Raw” after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41 over the weekend. The Austrian superstar clashed with play-by-play commentator Michael Cole, but former NFL punter Pat McAfee intervened just in time.
However, McAfee soon found himself in a tight spot when Gunther attacked him and put him into a sleeper hold. McAfee’s producers tried to stop the situation, but WWE security prevented them from intervening. Eventually, Gunther released McAfee and walked away.
Gunther appeared visibly upset with his performance at WrestleMania 41, which Uso won in stunning fashion, forcing Gunther to submit. In a post-match interview, Uso declared himself the “yeet era” champion, embracing the hate and love that comes with winning.
Despite his loss, Gunther expressed his happiness as the “party pooper” of WWE. However, it seems his party’s over for now.
