Haaland Scores Late Winner as Man City Win 1-0 at Spurs

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, helping his side return to the top four of the Premier League table. The Norwegian striker netted in the 12th minute after being set up by Jeremy Doku’s low cross, and despite Spurs dominating the second half, City held on for a hard-fought win.

Haaland’s goal took his Premier League tally to 83 goals in just 92 games, making him the second player to score at least 20 goals in each of their first three seasons. The victory moved City to 47 points from 27 games and avoided a third defeat against Spurs this season.

Spurs, on the other hand, were unable to capitalize on their dominance in the second half, with Son Heung-min denied by Ederson after coming off the bench. The loss dropped Tottenham to 13th place, nine points behind City.

Haaland spoke about his return from injury, saying it was all about staying positive and focusing on winning. “I try to be in the box and if people want to pass me the ball I try to finish in the back of the net,” he said.

The win marked a mixed display by City, who dominated the first half but struggled to create chances after Haaland’s goal. However, the Norwegian striker’s late effort ensured that his side came away with three points and a significant boost to their Premier League title hopes.
