The Halo Championship Series (HCS) is nearing its end, marking a new era for the franchise. As Year 4 comes to a close, the HCS will host two major events and the highly anticipated Halo World Championship on October 24-26. This year’s championship marks the final time Halo Infinite will be part of official HCS competition.
The decision to move on from Halo Infinite comes as the studio shifts focus towards the next generation of Halo games. Year 4 has been a record-breaking period for HCS, with significant growth and milestones achieved since its launch in 2021. The team expressed gratitude to players, fans, staff, and partners who supported the game and HCS throughout this special chapter.
The upcoming events will see the crowning of a new world champion, as well as awarding MVPs for Year 4 and Halo Infinite’s entire duration. In 2026, the studio plans to continue supporting online and LAN competition with Halo Infinite, including side events for Halo 5 and MCC.
While there is no official date set for HCS’ return with a new title, fans can expect updates on this front in late 2024 or early 2025.
