Halo Infinite’s final major update for 2024 has arrived with the launch of Operation: Snowbound, a festive holiday update. The update introduces new game modes, maps, and customization options to the popular first-person shooter.
The update features a new 1v1 mode called Showdown, where players compete in fast-paced rounds with unique loadouts and modifiers. Three new maps are also added to play on: Snow Ground, which is a winter take on High Ground from Halo 3, and two other unnamed locations. Players can unlock Infractor armor and festive weapon skins in free and premium Operation Passes.
The update also includes a new mode called Snowball Fight, a more casual game that allows players to test their aim and reflexes. Festive fever has taken over The Exchange, with Winter Contingency and other holiday-themed customization options available for Spartan Points.
In the 1v1 Showdown mode, the objective is to win the best of 5 rounds. Players can win in one of two ways: by being the first to reach 5 kills or by capturing a zone. The game features random loadouts and round modifiers that add an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay.
The Operation: Snowbound update is now live, bringing holiday cheer and new challenges to Halo Infinite players.
