Halo Studios has revealed new details about the next Operation for Halo Infinite. The upcoming update includes a long-awaited linear Firefight mode, which offers a campaign-like experience with increasing difficulty as players advance through zones in a specific sequence. Players can also earn exclusive gear and rewards by completing the operation.
The latest Operation, called Last Stand, is expected to bring new unlockable content, including a new Battle of the Academy Linear Firefight playlist. Fans are excited about this update, especially veterans who caught glimpses of the Orion armor in the teaser trailer. Additionally, Halo Infinite will introduce two more Operations Passes and new game modes this May.
Other notable features include Extraction and Assault modes in Big Team Battle, which offer objective-based gameplay with up to 24 players. This makes for chaotic and fun online matches. Furthermore, players can earn Halo 4’s Prefect armor from the free 20-tier Operation Pass.
A possible prequel spin-off game based on events from Halo Infinite is also being considered by Halo Studios. The company has shown interest in creating a Gears of War-like experience with E-Day, similar to what fans have been seeing in the new Firefight mode.
