Hamas has agreed to release 11 young Palestinian men as part of the first phase of a hostage and cease-fire deal with Israel. The move comes after Egypt’s Al-Rad news channel reported that Israel is demanding the release of these 11 individuals, along with 250 Palestinian prisoners, in exchange for their freedom.
The prisoner release includes some serving life sentences, according to Al-Rad. This development marks an initial step towards a potential deal between the two sides, which has been stalled for years.
