Hamilton’s Downbeat Response Raises Concerns About His Future in F1

Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton delivered a somber response after a disappointing Hungarian Grand Prix, leaving fans and pundits wondering about his future in the sport. Hamilton finished 12th, behind McLaren’s Lando Norris, who took the win.

Hamilton was unimpressed with his performance, calling it “absolutely useless” during qualifying on Saturday. He repeated this sentiment on Sunday, stating that Ferrari should find another driver if they are not satisfied with their current partnership.

When asked about his comments, Hamilton remained tight-lipped, saying only that he has a feeling about the situation and that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that is not good. However, when asked if he was disillusioned with racing, he insisted that he still loves it and the team.

Despite his unengaged demeanor after the race, Hamilton’s Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur believes that his driver is simply frustrated due to a tough weekend. “He’s demanding, but that’s why he’s a seven-time world champion,” Vasseur said.

Hamilton’s former Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff also expressed confidence in his ability to bounce back. “Lewis has unfinished business in Formula One and definitely still has it,” Wolff said.

The summer break begins soon, with the Dutch Grand Prix on August 31st. While Hamilton was cryptic about his plans for the next round, he did express his excitement about taking a break from racing. However, when asked directly if he would be driving at the Dutch GP, he was more unequivocal: “I look forward to coming back… hopefully I will be back.”
