Harrison Ford is not bothered by the disappointing box office performance of his latest film “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”. The movie lost Disney $130 million after its global haul fell short of expectations. However, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Ford expressed his gratitude for having made the film.
“Shit happens,” Ford said. “I wanted to pick up where Indiana had suffered, to see what happened next.” He’s now moved on to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with a new role in “Captain America: Brave New World”. The actor joined the project without a script and was drawn to the actors’ enthusiasm.
Ford took over the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who is also the Red Hulk. He joked about the motion capture process required for his transformation into the character, saying he had to “not care” and be willing to do things that might make others uncomfortable. Despite this, Ford enjoyed the experience and found it fun.
Ford believes that Marvel movies are a niche market, unlike the bigger impact cinema used to have on culture. He misses the connection between films and the public, now more than ever with people spending time in their homes rather than cinemas.
