Harvey Weinstein Banned from Vanity Fair Oscars Party Due to Rude Behavior

Harvey Weinstein’s name is synonymous with controversy, and it appears his behavior at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party was enough to earn him a permanent ban. According to Graydon Carter, the magazine’s former editor-in-chief, who shares his story in his upcoming memoir “When the Going was Good,” Weinstein was the only celebrity to be banned from the event due to his rude treatment of staff and excessive guest list.

Weinstein regularly showed up with more guests than allowed and would bully the staff, according to Carter. This behavior did not improve even when alcohol was involved. The initial ban on Weinstein was lifted, but organizers put another one in place after he refused to change his ways.

This revelation comes as no surprise given Weinstein’s history of sexual assault and rape convictions. However, it appears this incident was not the cause for his alleged ban from the event. Carter reveals that staff members had the opportunity to nominate celebrities for banishment from the party, including Courtney Love, who allegedly used a derogatory term to describe a Vanity Fair editor.

Carter’s memoir is set to be released on Tuesday, and it seems this Weinstein story may only scratch the surface of his problematic behavior. The former editor-in-chief has declined to comment further on the allegations in his book, leaving readers to draw their own conclusions about the Hollywood elite and their treatment of those who work behind the scenes.
