Hasbro, Inc. announced its second-quarter 2025 results, revealing a 16% increase in revenue for its Wizards segment. The growth was driven primarily by a 23% boost in Magic: the Gathering revenue, mainly due to the success of the Final Fantasy expansion.
The total quarterly revenue for Wizards of the Coast & Digital Gaming was $522M, with the rest of Hasbro’s business totaling around $460M. This marks a significant increase from the previous six-month period, which reported revenue of $985M, including $463M from the first quarter.
Breaking down Wizards’ revenues, Tabletop growth increased by 21%, while Digital and Digital Licensing saw declines of 4% and 3%, respectively. FX revenue rose by 1%.
The segment’s categories include “Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and other games” for Tabletop, Magic Arena and D&D Beyond for Digital, and licensed games business for Digital Licensing.
Notably, while Final Fantasy drove growth in Tabletop Magic: the Gathering, it didn’t translate to success in Magic Arena. The digital part of Wizards has now posted revenue losses for back-to-back quarters.
Hasbro provided a look at upcoming Magic releases and consumer demographics, including an average tabletop player age of 35 and a 5-year player tenure. The company also reported 19k+ badges sold for MagicCon Las Vegas and a 20% increase in Play event tickets sold.
As a result, Hasbro stock rose in pre-market trading after the announcement, with the closing price at $77.67 yesterday.
