Heisman Winner Travis Hunter Limits Participation at Colorado Showcase

Travis Hunter, the expected top-five draft pick, attended the Colorado Showcase on Friday despite initially being expected to participate only in a throwing session with quarterback Shedeur Sanders. However, it was revealed that Hunter didn’t work out at the NFL scouting combine or Big 12 pro day, instead opting for meetings with teams in Indianapolis.

Sanders also did not participate in the combine, citing concerns over his right shoulder injury. Despite this, he joined his brother Shilo on the field, who measured in at 5-foot-11⅞ and weighed 196 pounds.

Hunter has been dominating in college, earning top honors including the Chuck Bednarik and Fred Biletnikoff awards. As a receiver, he tallied 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns, while also showing defensive prowess with 35 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and 4 interceptions.

The event saw a festive atmosphere as fans packed the bleachers to catch glimpses of the top prospects. Notably, wide receiver Will Sheppard made the most of the opportunity, showcasing impressive speed and agility despite not being invited to the combine.
