Microsoft has announced that Xbox console exclusive Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be released on PlayStation 5 this summer. The game will feature an Enhanced Edition with new features, which will also be made available as a free update on other platforms.
Developer Ninja Theory revealed the news in a video update posted to social media today, marking the anniversary of the game’s original PC and Xbox launch. The team stated that they have been working hard to optimize the game for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro to provide the best possible experience.
The announcement comes after Microsoft made its multiplatform push successful with recent U.S. sales data showing a positive trend. Hellblade 2 follows in the footsteps of other Xbox console exclusives now available on PlayStation, as Microsoft treats the platform as another option for its first-party games.
