Hims & Hers Acquires Trybe Labs for At-Home Lab Testing

Hims & Hers Health, a telehealth company, has acquired New Jersey-based at-home lab testing facility Trybe Labs in an all-cash deal. The acquisition will enable Hims & Hers to provide at-home lab testing services through its platform.

The deal is expected to roll out over the next year, allowing customers to access comprehensive pretreatment testing and at-home blood draws. According to Dr. Patrick Carroll, Hims & Hers chief medical officer, the acquisition will provide richer data for providers to inform clinical decisions.

Trybe Labs’ technology allows users to collect a small amount of blood using a single-use lancet that is cleared by the FDA. The lancet is attached to the user’s upper arm and pressed to draw a sample. Providers can then use this information to determine treatment plans for patients.

The acquisition comes as Hims & Hers expands its services less than a year after introducing compounded GLP-1 weight loss drugs. The company aims to provide on-demand care with treatments tailored to individual needs, positioning itself as a cheaper alternative to established companies like Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics.

Shares of Hims & Hers have soared 141% in 2025, driven by the company’s recent Super Bowl ad targeting the pharmaceutical industry. With the acquisition of Trybe Labs, Hims & Hers strengthens its offerings in perimenopausal care and expands its capabilities for a range of conditions.
