Hisense has introduced its latest range of TVs, boasting bigger sizes and a new take on Mini-LED technology that offers more brightness and contrast control. The company’s flagship model, the 116UX, features an impressive 116-inch screen, while its smaller sibling, the 100UX, measures in at 100 inches.
The new series builds upon Hisense’s existing focus on democratizing high-end tech to lower price points. However, the “UX” lineup represents a premium offering with advanced technology that will be rolled out in future models.
One key innovation is the use of “RGB-MiniLED,” which replaces traditional white light sources with red, green, and blue diodes per Mini-LED. This results in improved control over brightness and color precision, aligning the TVs more closely with premium OLED offerings.
The Hisense 116UX features peak brightness of up to 8000 nits across 10,000 dimming zones, a significant upgrade from previous models. The smaller 100UX model still packs a punch, delivering 5000 nits of brightness.
Both models feature AI upscaling, support for Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced content, and built-in soundbar systems using a 6.2.2 spatial sound system calibrated with Devialet.
Available in September, the prices for these large-screen TVs are substantial, ranging from $22,999 for the 100 inch 100UX to $39,999 for the 116 inch 116UX.
