HMD Leaks Specs of Upcoming Smartphones and Smartwatches

HMD Group is gearing up for a busy period with the leak of its upcoming smartphones and smartwatches. The leaked specifications reveal details about two of its flagship phones, the Skyline 2 and Skyline 2 GT, as well as its first-ever smartwatch series.

The Skyline 2 boasts a 6.55-inch pOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. It also features a 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging (33W) and wireless charging (Qi 2.0). The device is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, including an 108 MP main sensor with OIS, as well as two additional sensors.

In contrast, the Skyline 2 GT has the same display but with increased brightness (2,000-nit peak), paired with the same SoC and battery size. However, it offers faster wired charging (45W) and a dedicated camera button. The device also features a rear camera system with a 108 MP main sensor, two additional 50 MP sensors, and a 3D ToF sensor.

HMD’s smartwatch series, including the Rubber 1 and Rubber 1S, has also been leaked. The Rubber 1 features a 1.85-inch OLED screen, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, an accelerometer, heart rate sensor, SpO2 tracking, and a 400 mAh battery with support for Qi wireless charging. It is 5ATM rated for water resistance.

The Rubber 1S, on the other hand, has a smaller 1.07-inch OLED display, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, heart rate monitor, and SpO2 tracking. Both smartwatches run Wear OS and support Qi wireless charging.

It’s worth noting that HMD devices are reportedly factory unlocked, following in the footsteps of previous models such as the Nokia X30 and X20.
