His son, Clint Lilley, confirmed that he died peacefully in his sleep at the Motion Picture & Television Fund retirement home in Calabasas, California.
Clint shared fond memories of his father’s time in Hollywood and credited him with teaching him valuable lessons about perseverance and humility. “He taught us to work for what we want, nothing is going to be handed to you,” Clint said.
Jack Lilley appeared in several other films throughout his career, including “Sudden Impact” and “Planet of the Apes.” He was close friends with actor Victor French and producer Kent McCray, who worked on the “Little House on the Prairie” production.
