Home Improvement Star Zachery Ty Bryan Charged with Domestic Violence in South Carolina

Zachary Ty Bryan, 43, one of the stars of the hit 1990s sitcom “Home Improvement,” has been arrested and charged with domestic violence in South Carolina. He was booked in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a second-degree domestic violence charge with a $10,000 bond.

Bryan, who played Brad Taylor on the Emmy-nominated show, has faced similar allegations before. In 2020, he was charged with domestic violence and sentenced to three years of bench probation and ordered to participate in a domestic violence prevention program. He also has five DUI arrests under his belt, with multiple charges stemming from 2024.

Bryan’s latest arrest comes just days after a bond hearing, where he had requested release. His next court date is scheduled for March 28. Tim Allen, Bryan’s former co-star on “Home Improvement,” expressed concern about Bryan in 2023, calling him “a great kid who has grown into a complex man.”

If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, help is available through the National Domestic Violence Hotline (thehotline.org) and Safe Horizon’s hotline (safehorizon.org). These organizations offer confidential support and resources for survivors.
