Honeywell to Split into Three Companies, Forms Aviation Unit

Honeywell is splitting into three separate entities, including one focused on aviation. The move comes after activist investor Elliot Management bought $5 billion in stock last year. Bombardier praised the decision, stating that more focus can be beneficial.

The new companies will include an aviation unit, which was previously Honeywell’s most profitable division, accounting for 40% of revenue. This unit supplies products to business jets and airliners. Analysts estimate the aviation company is worth around $104 billion. The split is expected to be complete by late 2026.
