Honor Slams Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge with Thickness Jab

Honor has taken a swipe at Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 Edge by highlighting its thickness. The Chinese brand claims the foldable Magic V3 measures just 4.35mm in thickness when fully unfolded, outdoing the S25 Edge by a significant margin.

The S25 Edge boasts a slim frame of 5.8mm, but Honor questions whether it’s worth the compromise. “Why thin if you’re making compromises to get there?” the brand asks in its teaser. The phrase “THIN without the catch” implies that Samsung may have sacrificed performance or durability to achieve its ultra-slim design.

However, comparing thickness between a foldable phone and an unfolded one doesn’t paint a complete picture. Real-world performance and durability could matter more than raw measurements. Honor points out that the Magic V3 carries a larger 5150mAh battery despite being thinner in its unfolded state.

Camera specs are reportedly similar, but specifics weren’t provided. It’s worth noting that both companies continue to refine their high-end devices, and these playful jabs won’t be the last. The ultimate choice will still come down to how well these features hold up in everyday use.

While Samsung’s slim design may turn heads, Honor’s Magic V3 seems like a more practical option with its larger battery and similar camera capabilities. As the smartphone market continues to evolve, it’s clear that both brands are pushing the boundaries of innovation – and not afraid to poke fun at each other in the process.
