Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Gains Transmog Feature After Seven Years

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has received its first major update since its release on PC and PS5 in October, bringing with it a significant new feature: transmog functionality. This addition allows players to change the appearance of Aloy’s armor without affecting its stats.

The update, Patch 1.08 for PS5, includes various bug fixes and performance improvements, such as fixing flickering issues during cutscenes and conversations, improving audio mix, and resolving a bug that caused Concentration to activate unexpectedly.

On PC, players are greeted with Patch 1.04, which also introduces transmog functionality, along with several other tweaks and fixes. The update addresses crashes while applying coils or outfits, improves stability, and resolves issues related to Auto Pickup.

The new feature is likely a significant improvement for players looking to customize their gameplay experience. However, it remains unclear whether this will be the final major update for the game, as it may be ported again in the future, potentially to newer consoles like the PS6.
