Three Israeli hostages released from captivity have shared their harrowing experiences with N12 and KAN. Sagui Dekel-Chen, Iair Horn, and Sasha Troufanov revealed that Hamas subjected them to physical torture, interrogation, and poor living conditions.
The hostages were held in unhealthy environments, including tunnels infested with lice, bedbugs, and mold, and received limited food and water. Many suffered injuries from Hamas terrorists and did not receive proper medical treatment.
Dekel-Chen was shot in the right shoulder but chose to leave the wound untreated due to the circumstances of his release. He was also unaware of his family’s fate for 15 months and was told by Hamas that his wife had given birth during his captivity, which he later confirmed with the IDF.
Horn spent time in a tunnel with his brother Eitan, who remains in captivity, while Troufanov was held alone throughout his stay. Both men have spoken of the trauma they experienced during their 15-month ordeal.
The testimonies provide insight into the brutal conditions and treatment of Israeli hostages at Hamas’ hands.
