HP has entered the smart monitor space with its new Omen 32x gaming monitor, set to launch in April at a price of $749.99. The device features a 31.5-inch 4K IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and DisplayHDR 400 support.
What sets this monitor apart is its integration with Google TV, offering users familiar recommendations based on their watch history and the ability to use voice commands to search for specific content. Other smart monitors typically rely on custom operating systems, but HP’s approach allows seamless integration with popular apps and platforms.
The Omen 32x also boasts some unique features, including native support for streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously and the ability to mirror an Android-based smartphone to the display. Additionally, it comes equipped with wireless KVM functionality, allowing users to control everything with a single keyboard and mouse.
As part of its broader lineup update, HP is introducing new monitors in various sizes and resolutions, including curved ultrawide options and 1080p displays. The upgraded models will feature factory color calibration and support for boosted refresh rates up to 180Hz. Notably, the QHD 27qs G2 boasts an IPS Black display with a 280Hz refresh rate, offering higher contrast ratios and better color accuracy compared to standard IPS panels.
